Duck with oranges
  • duck — 1 pc or 800 g of meat,
  • butter — 100 g,
  • meat broth — 2 cups,
  • flour — 3 tbsp,
  • orange — 3 pcs,
  • salt — 0.25 tsp.
Today duck is considered to be a traditional dish on the Russian Christmas table, but it is not. Duck came to the holiday table not long ago. It was often claimed to be a part of foreign cuisine and anexotic dish.

Duck goes well with buckwheat, as the meat is fatty and juicy. But fashionable magazines for women at the beginning of the 20th century sometimes gave unexpected recipes. In the magazine dated 1914, we spied a recipe for duck with oranges and used it for the video.
